Sumedha is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) (RYT500) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
In her words: I am Sumedha — aka Indian Yoga Girl, a yoga teacher, dog lover and mother of two naughty boys. I’ve practiced yoga for over 8 years, trained under and been influenced by world-renowned teachers chasing knowledge from different yoga practices and styles all around the globe. I have been teaching yoga for over 6 years, taught in 2 different nations.
I have been counseling students to lead a healthy lifestyle and has been guiding them to attain their health, fitness and spiritual goals. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I seek to help others thrive in live by nurturing body, mind and soul with yoga, and my hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.” I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers have shared with me. I have done double Masters 🙂
Apart from Asanas, I am a big fan of the topic of Pranayama. When we work on freeing the breath through pranayama (breathing exercises) we are also working on letting the life energy flow through the body. It has the effect of energizing, relaxing the body, letting everything fall into place. Literally it is an increase and balance of life energy in your system.
Here are some of the teachers training I have done in the past
I currently teach at 425 Fitness Redmond and Issaquah and in GetZenHotYoga in Redmond. I teach Power Vinyasa and Hatha style Yoga. I also enjoy teaching Pranayama and Yin style yoga. My goal is to help students find freedom, self-expression, confidence, and self-love in their yoga practice.
I am passionate and 100% committed to helping my clients find challenge, success, inner peace, and happiness.
