Yoga Training under a Certified Yoga Instructor

A good yoga teacher must have reliability and magnanimity in their teachings. Yoga instructors must be energetic, and passionate to educate and inspire their students in a way that they start taking interest in empowering their mind and body with a positive attitude.

The Team Indian Yoga Girl supports the students with a holistic approach in continuous yoga practices or maybe
explores the other practices of Yoga and asanas.

According to Sumedha, a yoga instructor must have some essential qualities to join her team. She always advises her students to practice yoga under trained yoga teachers. At IndianYogaGirl, we have a team of experienced and certified yoga instructors to inspire our students to incline towards a healthy life. Here is the list of some of the important qualities a certified yoga instructor must possess:

Self-Practice & Self Study

They should also continue to endeavor and frequent training and educational events to stay up-to-date. If a yoga teacher tries to teach a student on the basis of book-based knowledge without practicing it, a student can never decode the terms which a teacher wants to translate.
Experienced yoga instructors must be intensely involved in their own personal development as well as that of their students. A teacher has to keep alive the student in him/her and to be continually improving their knowledge.

Empowerment

Good teachers always try to inspire and empower their students. Experienced yoga teachers not only teach students certain poses, asanas, and pranayama, but also help the students to be active participants in the whole learning process.
To understand a students’ potential and keep them motivating to spend their efforts in the direction towards empowerment, is a good way to transfer the power to the students and help them follow the postulates of practice so that they acquire the knowledge to understand and listen to their bodies.

Hatha yoga is obtained from the Sanskrit words the sun and the moon.  It is mainly designed to balance and maintain forces in our body and mind. The balance in hatha yoga represents energy and adaptability of physical and mental energy or breath and the body.
Hatha yoga links to the aspect of consistency and uniformity of practice rather than applying additional stress to the body.

Power Yoga, the name itself suggests a powerful fitness workout. Power yoga is a filtered form of Ashtanga Yoga and asana. Power Yoga includes the sequence of yoga poses Ashtanga Yoga as well as Vinyasa.
Power Yoga involves a vigorous workout in which muscle strength and flexibility is the two main factors club to achieve desired results.

Humility

A good yoga instructor doesn’t solicit knowledge proceeds to consider certified, but he/she should be patient while teaching yoga at the highest level of the student’s understanding and potential at any given time. They can share their expertise and experience but should not put themselves on the same line where a student feels weak physically or mentally. There must be an open perception and acceptance of mistakes and a humble reflection is a key to earning esteem and trust from students.

According to Sumedha, a yoga instructor who wants to join her team should be proficient and experienced enough in practicing Hatha, Vinayasa, Power, Yin, and Meditation.

Vinyasa is a form of yoga where the poses are harmonized with the breath in a continuous balanced flow. The flow can be reflective to nature, calming the mind and nervous system, even though the body is in action.

Yin yoga is a slow-paced yoga in which poses are contained for a minute and eventually up to five minutes or more. Derived the idea to design it to increase the flow of energy in the joints and increase elasticity. The main body parts involve in this practice are hips, lower back, and thighs.

The practice of this form of yoga also can be done by using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks to let gravity do the work, helping to relax.

Meditation may be coming from a long back but it’s still practiced in cultures globally to build a feeling of calmness and inner peace. Some popular types of meditation practice that Sumedha at Indian Yoga Girl teaches are: mindfulness meditation, spiritual meditation, focused meditation, movement meditation, mantra meditation, transcendental meditation, progressive relaxation, loving-kindness meditation, visualization meditation, etc.

The Team at our center is dedicated and passionate about their yoga teachings. They are professional yet having a holistic approach to their students. They are always working on their toes to inspire their students to empower their journey towards healthy and harmonious life with the yoga practices suits their body’s potential and problems too.
